A few weeks ago the manager of the apartment building next door to mine complained that some of the tenants in my building were using his garbage containers. I found that a bit odd as we have perfectly good ones of our own, and I didn’t think much more about it.
However, over the last week, several contractors and trucks have been in the lane working away next door. Now it can be revealed …

… it is an industrial-strength fence with a sliding gate.
I have no idea how much it cost but it cannot have been cheap. It seems like a massive over-reaction to a minor problem.
um, its part of the city garbage design requirements … all buildings are supposed to have https://vancouver.ca/files/cov/Garbage_and_Recycling_Storage_Facility_Supplement.pdf
Maybe so, I had never heard of that. But none of the buildings that I am aware of have such a thing.
