November 3, 2015The sign here was photo-graphed yesterday at Choices Market on Commercial Drive.
There is a clear desire here to market their produce to the “organic” crowd. That’s fair enough. But then they add the fine print. And a straightforward reading of the English language in the fine print would suggest that what they are actually saying is:
“All of our produce is organic — unless it’s not.”
It doesn’t make any sense to me — am I missing something?
This reminds me of airline adverts that say in bold type: “Vancouver to London: $200!” before explaining in a tiny font that there is an additional $1,000 in fees, surcharges and taxes.
