Heritage Rocks!

January 16, 2014

This evening was the monthly meeting of the Grandview Heritage Group, which I always look forward to.  About a dozen and a half folks came by to talk with Vancouver City Councilor Heather Deal about the new Heritage Action Plan adopted by the City.  We had a bunch of other stuff to interest us, too, and the full minutes should be on the GHG website in the next day or so.

We were joined once again by a representative from the brand new Mount Pleasant Heritage Group; the first of many we hope who will follow our example.

I’m sure I am repeating myself, but these meetings are such a joy; gathering together with others who share a keen interest in our neighbourhood’s heritage and history, acting with collegiality to the benefit of us all.  No fuss, no egos, just moving ahead. A real pleasure to be involved.

What A Gorgeous Day!

Went out for breakfast at Skylight and a haircut at Tino’s this morning, enjoying the walk up and down the Drive in brilliant eye-crunching sunshine and a briskly cool temperature.  This is my kind of weather.
