I have finally joined the twittering classes. You can follow my nonsense musings at @jakking49.
I still have no idea how useful this might be yet, for me at home or in business. I have lots of followers who access my business newpaper via Twitter, so I guess that’s good. And I could see whole worlds of possibilities if I were still organizing politically. But …
So far it seems to be a pleasant enough way to get some ideas, have more input. I’ll keep reading up on the best ways to use the system and I’ll give them a try.
I’ve spent some of this afternoon watching the Google Wave presentation video from the Google I/O Conference. It is here. It takes 80 minutes to complete, but it is well worth it. There will no doubt be shorter explanations available.
Google Wave is, as they say, what email would be if it had been invented today. But it is so much more, especially as a collaboration tool. It is hard for me to explain all of the benefits — especially as I am still trying to absorb it all, and ever more ideas keep coming to mind. It is one of those apps you see in alpha and then can’t sleep until it is released!
